About us

Hi, I am Bjarndís Helena Hönnudóttir Mikaelsdóttir Mackinnon Mitchell (or Baddý, as I'm often called!)
Iceland and its heritage have always been part of me, but RuneScope is not about souvenirs or tourism. It’s about something older and more universal: the runes themselves.
Through years of research, design, I discovered how the 24 Elder Futhark runes align with the seasons, the Zodiac, and the rhythm of our lives. Out of that came RuneScope: a way to make the runes accessible, modern, and deeply personal.
RuneScope is built for anyone curious about these ancient symbols. Here you’ll find:
-
Rune jewelry and gifts that let you carry your Birth and Fate runes with you
-
Daily RuneScopes, bringing their messages into everyday life
-
Books and guides to help you understand and work with runes yourself
My vision is to honor tradition without getting stuck in the past. The runes are not relics — they’re living voices. RuneScope is here to share those voices in a way that’s creative, practical, and meaningful for today.
Thank you for being here. I hope RuneScope brings you clarity, connection, and a spark of wonder on your path.
Baddý

We leverage a distributed print-on-demand (POD) network that fulfills orders regionally. Products are printed as close as possible to the recipient, reducing carbon emissions, avoiding international customs fees, and eliminating warehousing waste. This also protects the company from fluctuating international tariffs (e.g. U.S. import surcharges) and Iceland’s high import duties on mass goods.
